There is a choice of pistes back to Orelle. Competent skiers can take the unique black run called ‘ Combe Rosaël’ from the top of the Cime Caron telecabine in Val Thorens. From this point you will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Orelle area.
Orelle has some of the most beautiful, natural scenery in the 3 Valleys, with the highest point of the whole 3 Valleys (Pointe du Bouchet) at 3416m.A zip wire (the Tyrolienne’) has been installed from the Pointe du Bouchet to Val Thorens which gives an exceptional view across the valley. Due to its location at the end of the ski area, Orelle is quieter and calmer with fewer people than most other resorts in the 3 Valleys.
Skiing outside of the 3 Vallees
If you want to access ski areas other than the 3 Valleys, you will be spoilt for choice. In less than half an hour along the Maurienne Valley, there are numerous ski areas such as Valloire, Valmeinier, Aussois or La Norma.
In less than a 30 minute drive from the resort, climbers can also ascend on one of one of the numerous ‘via ferrata”.
Finally, should you want to travel further afield, you could visit Turin which is 90 minutes away through the Tunnel du Fréjus, close to the resort.
